1. SPONSOR. The Contest is sponsored by ‘WBND, ABC 57,’ whose corporate headquarters address is 26 N. Halsted, Chicago, Illinois 60661 (the “Sponsor”).
2. ENTRY. A purchase is not required to enter or win the Contest. The Contest begins Monday, May 7, 2012 6:00 PM and ends Saturday, June 2, 2012 5:59 PM unless extended by ‘WBND, ABC 57.’ To participate, viewers must watch ABC 57 news weeknights at 6:00 p.m. for their chance to win a $50 Houlihan’s gift certificate during the Contest period on ABC 57. Each day during the ABC 57 news broadcasts at 6:00 PM, a Code Word of the Day will be shown; to enter the Contest, viewers must submit the correct Code Word of the Day at ABC57.com within a 24 hour period of the news broadcast. The entry window for the 6 p.m. broadcast is 5:59 p.m. the following day. Only one (1) entry per person, per email address, per day will be accepted per Code Word of the Day. 20 winners will be selected at random from all online entries using a computer software winner selection tool.
3. ELIGIBILITY. The Contest is open to all legal residents of Michigan and Indiana who are 18 years of age or older and live in the South Bend-Elkhart television viewing area as defined by A.C. Nielsen. Employees of ‘WBND, ABC 57,’ Weigel Broadcasting Co., Houlihan’s, advertising agencies, consultants, franchisees, suppliers, subsidiaries and family members of any of the above are not eligible to enter or win.
4. PRIZES. There are 20 total winners in this Contest. ‘WBND, ABC 57’ and Houlihan’s guarantee that 20 winners will each receive one (1) $50 Houlihan’s gift certificate valued at $50, selected from each day’s entry of the correct Code Word of the Day from the 6 p.m. ABC 57 news broadcast. Once notified, the winners will have three (3) business days to claim their Prize. If a winner fails to claim their Prize, it will result in the forfeiture of the Prize and a new drawing may be held for another winner. All Prize winners must possess a valid picture ID to claim their Prize at the time of pick up at ‘WBND-ABC 57,’ 53550 Generations Drive, South Bend, IN 46635.
5. PRIZE RESTRICTIONS. The Prizes are non-transferable. Additionally, only one (1) Prize will be issued per household. There will be no substitute or cash redemption awarded to any Contest winner. All income and other taxes are the responsibility of the winner. By entering, each winner is consenting to the use of their name, likeness, and/or biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes without additional consideration.
6. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY. Winners are responsible for income and other taxes on the Prize. Winners will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability and Letter of Indemnification within three (3) days of notification of being a winner. Failure to comply with the rules and conditions of the Contest may result in a forfeiture of Prize.
7. MISCELLANEOUS. The decisions made by ‘WBND, ABC 57,’ concerning any and all matters with respect to this promotion shall be final. In the event of a computer, telephone failure, or any other circumstances beyond the control of ‘WBND, ABC 57,’ where it becomes impracticable to award said Prize, ‘WBND, ABC 57,’ may, in its sole and absolute discretion, determine not to award any such Prize et al. This Contest is void where prohibited, penalized or otherwise restricted by law. If you wish to receive the names of the Contest Prize winners, you must send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Houlihan’s Gift Certificate Giveaway ‘WBND-ABC 57,’ 53550 Generations Drive, South Bend, IN 46635. ‘WBND-ABC 57’ must receive any request for the winners’ names no later than September 1, 2012.
